Vietnam reports Covid-19 death rise

The Ministry of Health has confirmed three new Covid-19 deaths who were elderly patients with underlying medical issues in HCM City.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed three new Covid-19 deaths who were elderly patients with underlying medical issues in HCM City.

The 133rd death was an 87-year-old woman in District 8 with hypertension and senile. She tested positive for Covid-19 on July 4 and was sent to the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases. The patient died on July 10.

The 134th fatality was a 67-year-old man in Binh Chanh District who faced a stroke and chronic arthritis. He died on July 10 after being treated at the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases from June 27.

The 135th case was an 83-year-old woman in Binh Thanh District. The patient had underlying diseases of hypertension and stroke died at the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases on July 12.

The deaths were all related to severe pneumonia due to Covid-19 infection.

The three have raised Vietnam’s Covid-19 death toll to 135, including 100 since April 27 when the fourth Covid-19 wave started hitting the country.
