Authorities in Xuan Huong-Dalat Ward, Lam Dong Province, were completing the final works on the car park on August 26.
Located in Zone A of Tran Quoc Toan Park, near the intersection of Suong Nguyet Anh and Tran Quoc Toan streets, the facility is being developed to meet increased parking demand during the National Day holiday and the year-end festival season, including the 11th Dalat Flower Festival.
The 1.5-ha site is being levelled and surfaced with crushed stone. It will also feature fencing, trees, separate entrances and exits, toilets and security cameras.
Parking fees will range from VND 1,000 to VND 8,000 per entry for bicycles and motorbikes and from VND 15,000 to VND 80,000 for cars, depending on vehicle size and capacity. Monthly car parking will cost between VND 750,000 and VND 1.5 million.
Ho Huu Tuong, director of the ward's General Services Centre, said the car park was expected to open just before the September 2 holiday and accommodate 500-600 cars at a time.
Security personnel will be stationed at the site around the clock to protect vehicles and maintain public order.
The car park is expected to ease congestion in central Dalat, where vehicles with more than 29 seats have been banned from several streets since early August, while curbing illegal parking during the year-end festival season.
