Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The has issued a circular on the fees for some airport services.

Fees for takeoff and landing for domestic flights have been halved for airlines amid the Covid-19 pandemic
Under Circular 21, between January 1 to December 31 this year, the takeoff and landing fees for domestic flights would be slashed by 50 percent against those regulated in the Ministry of Transport’s Circular 53 issued in 2019.
Airlines are allowed to work with airport service providers on the settlement of these kinds of fees from January 1 this year until the time Circular 21 was issued.
From January 1, 2022, takeoff and landing service fees will return to the levels set in Circular 53.
Meanwhile, under the Minister of Transport’s approval, some fees for other services such as hiring parking areas and check-in stalls from January 1 to December 31 this year will be waived.
According to Circular 53, the takeoff and landing fees range from VND765,000 (USD33.26) to VND11.6 million per flight, depending on different kinds of airplanes.
The fourth Covid-19 wave that hit Vietnam by the end of April has severely affected Vietnamese airlines. Some new firms like Vietravel Airlines have had to suspend all its air routes.
The Ministry of Transport has planned to resume aviation activities after October 1 as the situation in many localities, including HCM City, has been gradually brought under control.
