Leaders of the Dakrong Commune People's Committee in Quang Tri Province confirmed on July 8 that at about 12.30 pm the same day, a truck travelling on National Highway 9 suddenly lost control, crashed into a roadside barrier and overturned.

The crash killed a 50-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man in the cab. Meanwhile, a 56-year-old man was seriously injured and later died despite being taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
After receiving the report, traffic police and other professional units under Quang Tri Province Police quickly arrived at the scene to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
