The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said the northern region would be affected by two cold air masses next week.

The first is expected to arrive around November 2-3. It will be relatively weak but is forecast to bring cooler conditions, with daytime temperatures ranging from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius and overnight and early morning readings of 22-26 degrees.
The second cold air surge, expected between November 5 and 7, will be stronger. Daytime temperatures are forecast to fall to 27-30 degrees Celsius, while overnight temperatures will range from 21 to 24 degrees, dropping below 21 degrees in some mountainous areas.
Over the next 10 days, northern Vietnam is forecast to see showers and thunderstorms in some areas, with early morning fog possible in places and sunshine during the day.
However, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected on the nights of November 1-2 and around November 5-7 as the cold air masses move in, with locally heavy rain possible.
