Dak Lak launches first all-electric bus route

Dak Lak Province has launched its first all-electric bus route, a 100-km service linking M'Drak Commune and Buon Ma Thuot, as part of efforts to promote greener public transport.

Route 31 operates 30 trips a day between 5.10 am and 6.00 pm, with buses running at intervals of up to 60 minutes.

The service initially uses five electric buses, each with a capacity of up to 60 passengers. Fares range from VND 15,000 (USD 0.57) to VND 70,000 (USD 2.66) per trip, while monthly passes cost VND 600,000-VND 1.5 million.

The service is expected to help expand environmentally friendly public transport and support the government's green transition goals.
