The Ministry of Public Security said on July 9 that an inspection by Hanoi Police found numerous breaches relating to education, labour management, fire safety and social insurance obligations across the English language centre chain.
The company is registered at 92/1 Nguyen Khanh Toan Street, Nghia Do Ward, Hanoi.
According to investigators, 54 of the 63 Vietnamese teachers employed across the 14 centres did not meet the legal qualifications or professional standards required to teach foreign languages.
Police also found that two centres had been operating without the required licences, while another two continued providing English language courses despite their operating licences having expired.
In response to the findings, Hanoi Police recommended that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training carry out a comprehensive inspection of all foreign language centres operated by AMES Training Joint Stock Company-Hanoi Branch and take enforcement action in accordance with the law.
