Hanoi to host Capital Economic Forum 2026 on August 27

The Capital Economic Forum II 2026 will bring together businesses, investors and financial institutions in Hanoi to promote investment, funding opportunities and supply-chain partnerships.

Capital Economic Forum II 2026 (CEF II) will take place in Hanoi on August 27, with a focus on connecting businesses with capital sources, investors, partners and supply chains.

The event is organised by the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HanoiSME) as the capital pursues its sustainable double-digit growth targets for the 2026-2030 period.

According to organisers, the forum aims to create a platform for dialogue and cooperation among policymakers, businesses, investors, financial institutions, experts and industry associations.

CEF II will focus on four key areas: improving access to capital and mergers and acquisitions (M&A); developing domestic suppliers and increasing localisation rates; promoting investment, technology and international market cooperation; and organising screened business-to-business (B2B) matching and Deal Room sessions.

The forum is expected to attract between 150 and 200 delegates, including at least 80 small and medium-sized enterprises. Around 20 exhibition booths showcasing products, projects and supplier capabilities will also be featured.

Organisers aim to receive at least 30 business proposals and requests, facilitate a minimum of 20 B2B matchmaking meetings and provide in-depth advisory services to at least 10 companies.

The programme also targets the creation of at least five memorandums of understanding, cooperation agreements or preliminary business arrangements resulting from networking activities.

One of the forum's highlights will be the Deal Room and one-to-one matching area, which is expected to host between 10 and 20 highly prepared business cases.

Participating companies will receive support in identifying their needs, standardising documentation and finding suitable partners before engaging in direct meetings.

The initiative is designed for businesses seeking fundraising opportunities, strategic investors or shareholders, financial restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, distribution partners, customers or entry into supply chains.

At the same time, banks, investment funds, securities firms and large corporations will be able to select promising projects and businesses for detailed discussions.

Beyond capital mobilisation and M&A, the forum will devote significant attention to developing Vietnam's supplier network.

Discussion sessions are expected to address quality standards, production capacity, traceability, corporate governance and environmental and social responsibility requirements that companies must meet to integrate more deeply into global value chains.

The programme will also cover capital markets, investment promotion, international cooperation, localisation strategies and sustainable growth, while providing a platform for businesses to raise concerns and policy recommendations with relevant authorities.
