Dong Nai launches three new road projects linking Long Thanh Airport

Dong Nai has begun construction of three major road projects worth nearly USD 460 million to improve connectivity with Long Thanh International Airport.

Authorities in Dong Nai on July 10 simultaneously launched construction and expansion of three major roads that will strengthen transport links to Long Thanh International Airport.

The three projects have a combined length of more than 111km and a total investment of nearly VND 12 trillion (about USD 459 million).

Among them, the upgrade and expansion of Provincial Road DT769 is considered the most important because it will provide a direct connection between Gate No. 2 of Long Thanh International Airport and National Highways 1 and 51.

Construction also began on Provincial Road DT770B, a 42km route with an investment of around VND 4.7 trillion (about USD 180 million). The road will pass through several communes and wards.

Once completed, DT770B will improve links between the eastern and northeastern parts of Dong Nai and Long Thanh International Airport, industrial parks, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, National Highway 51 and the Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep-water port complex.

The third project involves upgrading and expanding Provincial Road DT773, a route of about 39km extending from National Highway 1 to connect directly with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.

Under the approved plan, DT773 will be expanded to six to eight lanes at an estimated cost of VND 4.311 trillion (about USD 165 million).
