In response, the provincial Military Command ordered units to coordinate with local authorities and mobilise nearly 400 military personnel, soldiers and local forces to help residents recover from the disaster.

According to the command's report, heavy rain and tornadoes hit Phu An, Binh Thanh Dong, Phu Lam, Chau Phu, Binh Giang, Giong Rieng, Hoa Lac and Phu Tan communes between 7.30 pm and 9.20 pm on October 29, causing damage to homes, property and infrastructure.

Initial figures showed that one house had been completely destroyed and 86 had lost their roofs. Of the latter, 26 suffered complete roof damage and 60 partial damage.

Two rice-drying facilities also sustained roof damage, while 22 power poles were broken or toppled. Numerous trees fell and blocked roads. No casualties were reported.

Following the storms, the provincial Military Command instructed commune-level military units to work with local Party committees, authorities, police and other local forces to carry out urgent recovery efforts.

Nearly 400 military personnel, soldiers and local residents were mobilised across the province. Military forces and militia played a leading role, deploying directly to affected areas to help residents.
