The sentence was imposed on Wang Qing Lin, 34, on Tuesday by the People’s Court of the central city of Danang.

In September, 2019, Wang Qing Lin illegally entered Vietnam to work. One month later, Lin was fined VND4 million (USD173.91) for not completing the necessary entry procedures as required.
After returning to China, Wang Qing Lin was told by a man named Xiao Hua to join the online visual stock market. Being promised to receive the monthly payment of CNY5,000, Lin agreed with the deal.
On November 9, 2019, Wang Qing Lin illegally entered Vietnam again by road through an unidentified man.
After re-entering Vietnam, Wang Qing Lin was taken to the central city of Danang by a Vietnamese person who has not yet been identified.
In Danang City, with the support of Nguyen Thi Yen, 26 and Le Thi Toan, 38, Wang Qing Lin stayed in different areas in the city.
During the stay in Danang, Wang Qing Lin used his mobile phones, iPads and laptops to operate an illegal visual stock website in China.
On August 15, 2020, Wang Qing Lin and two other Chinese residents namely Li Jin Xi and Su Jin Shu were found not having registered their temporary residence in Danang City as required.
At the police station, Lin admitted his violations.
The police also decided to prosecute Yen and Toan for involvement in Lin’s illegal entry.
Further investigation is still under way to define other possible people related to the case.
