The donation came from readers through the newspaper's charity programme.
Two houses are located in An Giang Province, with the first belonging to Nguyen Thi Thu Van, 53, in Binh Thanh Dong Commune. Van received a donation of VND 85.31 million from readers.

Van said, "I'm truly grateful to the donors and local authorities. This house is my dream come true. Now, I don't worry about falling, and I feel much more hopeful."
Another house is for Dinh Huu Phung, 38, in Vinh Xuong Commune. He has got VND 75.13 million from the donors.
Dantri Newspaper on July 5 also broke ground on a house for Huynh Thanh Nguyen, 37, from Dong Hiep Commune, who is caring for his 9-year-old son in a dilapidated shack after losing their home to a fire.

The newspaper, on July 6, handed over a house to Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, 65, in Vinh Xuong Commune. Bedridden and raising two granddaughters, she received over VND 206 million from readers after her story was featured in Dantri Newspaper.
Huynh Cong Tao, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Binh Thanh Dong Commune, expressed heartfelt thanks to Dantri readers, saying he was glad to see such support in his newly assigned area. He hoped that with a stable home, Van's family could live a better life.
In response to the government's national campaign to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated homes, Dantri/Dtinews has set a goal of building 200 houses for poor and near-poor families between 2024 and 2025.
Alongside housing projects, Dantri/Dtinews has also completed 57 classrooms, 31 rural bridges and roads, 50 flood-resistant floating houses, organised 25 free health check programmes for over 6,000 people, distributed 5,054 free health insurance cards to underprivileged students, and launched fundraising campaigns for nearly 6,000 families in exceptional hardship.
