The handbook with six volumes covers six labour markets in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia, Macau, Taiwan and Japan. Each volume provides basic information on the host country and people, vocabulary, important tips upon arrival and necessary contact addresses.
Ms Patricia Z.Riingen, Senior Vice President of ASEAN and Pacific region of Western Union said the handbook will help migrant workers quickly integrate into the host country and work more efficiently.
According to statistics from DOLAB, in the first 11 months of this year, the total number of Vietnamese migrant workers amounted to 109,251 including 35,472 women. Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia have been promising labour markets for Vietnamese migrant workers.
