The centre houses 147 orphan children, disabled people and the elderly. This year, the Quang Nam People's Committee provided VND500,000 to the residents at the centre. As of now, up to 13 organisations and agencies have visited and given gifts to the centre.
The PM told the residents that the government always take care of disadvantaged people and locality authorities must implement policies so as not to leave anyone behind. The PM expressed his high regards for Quang Nam authorities' investment in the new social protection centre which can house 150-160 people. Each year, the centre receives 10-15 disadvantaged people. Several orphan children at the centre were able to study higher education.

The PM asked the centre to pay even more attention to the residents and create favourable conditions to let them reunite with their families this Tet. For those who can't return to their family, Tet celebrations would be organised in the centre under strict Covid-19 prevention measures.
He went on to say that the employees at the centre should improve themselves to teach children new skills and knowledge, especially about IT and help them integrate into society. Meanwhile, children in the centre should work hard to have a better future.
