Hungarian Minister Balog Zoltán (L) said his government will increase scholarships for Vietnamese students
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the proposal at a reception for Hungarian Minister of Human Resources Balog Zoltán in Hanoi on March 4.

He also proposed that Hungary increase scholarships for Vietnamese students to study in the European nation, open its training institutions in Vietnam, and speed up cooperation projects both countries have already signed.

The government leader welcomed Zoltán’s visit which he said will help make a practical contribution to boosting the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnam attaches importance to developing the friendly relations with Hungary and will work closely with the European nation to bring this relationship to a higher level, said Dung.

Minister Zoltán said Hungary wants to strengthen cooperation in various areas with Vietnam, especially in economics, trade, investment, education-training, agriculture and health care.

He assured his host that the Hungarian government will increase scholarships for Vietnamese students to pursue their studies in his country.

He also voiced Hungary’s willingness to share its development experience in agriculture, health care education, and environmental protection with Vietnam.

Earlier the same day, Minister Balog Zoltán and Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan signed an agreement on bilateral education and training cooperation.
