More DTiNews readers support flood-ravaged areas

DTiNews readers have to date donated a total of around VND2 billion (USD90,900) through the newspaper’s Compassionate Hearts Charity Fund for people in northern mountainous areas who have been affected by recent flash floods.

DTiNews readers have to date donated a total of around VND2 billion (USD90,900) through the newspaper’s Compassionate Hearts Charity Fund for people in northern mountainous areas who have been affected by recent flash floods.

Around VND900 million (USD40,900) of that sum was in cash, with the remainder in goods and products.

 

Flash flood ravages the northern mountainous region

Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company contributed VND1.2 billion, including VND100 million in cash and the rest is nutrition products worth VND1.1 billion.

Viet Hung Packaging Company donated VND100 million and Tran Thanh Company supported VND50 million through the Compassionate Hearts Charity Fund.

Meanwhile, staff members from DTiNews’ different representative offices nationwide used two days of salary for the donation.

Many others companies, including Van An Ltd. Co., MTV Ha Thanh Ltd. Co and Vinh Phuc Ltd. Co, have also contributed their donation via the fund.

The recent flash flood the result of torrential rains have caused dozens of deaths and left many missing in northern mountainous localities.

Many houses and schools have been also damaged.
