Hoang Lien Son Group JSC, which operates the site, announced the reopening on September 26 after construction at the adjacent project was suspended, temporarily addressing safety concerns at the tourist attraction.
The company said operations would resume to maintain jobs and incomes for employees and minimise disruption to tour schedules for domestic and international visitors.
The site had announced a temporary suspension on September 15, citing concerns that construction of the neighbouring Vuon Dia Dang project could pose risks to employees, visitors and property.
The company had asked provincial authorities to assess the project's potential impact on the safety of the Rong May Glass Bridge tourist site.
During the suspension period, admission was offered free from September 17 until October 1 for Lai Chau residents.
Opened in 2019, the tourist site receives an average of about 300,000 visitors a year, with international tourists accounting for around 80%. Annual revenue is about VND 200 billion (USD 7.6 million).
The site is located at an altitude of about 2,200 metres near the summit of O Quy Ho Pass in Binh Lu Commune, Lai Chau Province, about 20 km from Sapa.
