Luo Min Li, 28, from Chongqing, China, arrived in Hanoi on October 21 to attend the concert and plans to stay in the Vietnamese capital for five to six days to explore the city.

“This is my first time in Hanoi, and I’m very happy to be here. Besides attending the concert, I also want to experience the local culture, meet people and try the food. Being able to travel and attend a concert at the same time makes me really excited,” she said.

Luo added that she was travelling with friends from several different cities across China.

When it comes to food, she said she particularly enjoys Vietnamese noodle dishes, with bun oc (a Vietnamese noodle soup with snails) leaving the strongest impression.

“Hanoi’s bun oc is delicious. I find its flavour distinctive, and I really like it,” she said.

Two other Chinese visitors, Hu Yan Wen, 22, and Smallu, 21, both from Xi’an, bought tickets in the highest price category for the BIGBANG show, costing VND 10.5 million (approximately USD 406) each.

To organise their concert trip and holiday, the two women bought tickets through a Vietnamese friend, who then offered to guide them from the concert to other tourist attractions.
