Quang Ninh is diversifying its tourism offerings, with a major food festival in Bai Chay and discounted travel packages on Co To Island among its key initiatives.
Food festival to feature 150 stalls
The Quang Ninh Food Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place at Vui Fest Night Market in Bai Chay from November 20 to 24, featuring around 150 stalls.
Of these, 80-100 stalls will showcase local cuisine, while 50-70 will feature specialities from other localities and cities.

Restaurants, hotels, cruise operators, artisans, cooperatives and local businesses are expected to participate, offering traditional dishes, drinks and locally made products.
Visitors will also be able to watch live cooking demonstrations, meet chefs and enjoy cultural performances.
The opening ceremony on November 20 will feature artistic performances, demonstrations of Halong squid cake preparation and cocktail making.
From November 21 to 24, stalls are expected to open daily from 9 am to 11 pm, alongside street music and entertainment at Vui Fest.
Organisers hope the extended opening hours will encourage visitors to explore Bai Chay's nightlife and spend more on dining, accommodation and other services.
Co To offers discounted island tours
Meanwhile, the Co To Tourism Association and local businesses have introduced discounted travel packages for the 2026-2027 autumn-winter season, running from October 1, 2026, to April 20, 2027, excluding public holidays.
The packages combine accommodation, transport and sightseeing for families, groups of friends and organised tours.
A budget package costs VND 950,000 (USD 36) per person for two days and one night, or VND 1.15 million for three days and two nights.
It includes accommodation at two- or three-star hotels or higher-end homestays, transport around the island, electric vehicle transfers at the port, a one-way speedboat ticket and Ao Tien Port admission. Meals and optional activities are charged separately.
For groups of at least 20 people, a three-day, two-night package starts at VND 1.6 million per person, including accommodation, breakfast, three main meals, island transport, return speedboat tickets and port admission.
Visitors can also enjoy sunrise and sunset views, explore coastal landscapes, experience local culture and sample seafood.
More events planned across the city
The promotions form part of Quang Ninh's wider autumn-winter tourism campaign, which also includes the Yen Tu Autumn Festival, Binh Lieu Then Festival and Halong Heritage International Marathon 2026.
By spreading events across different destinations and dates, the city aims to encourage repeat visits, extend stays and boost spending on accommodation, dining, shopping and entertainment.
Tourism authorities are also promoting closer cooperation among travel agencies, hotels, restaurants and transport providers to develop more attractive packages.
Quang Ninh is targeting 23 million visitors and around VND 70 trillion (USD 2.66 billion) in tourism revenue in 2026.
