Tourism revenue reached an estimated VND 72.24 trillion (USD 2.74 billion), up 20.9 per cent from a year earlier, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Total visitor numbers rose 50.84 per cent year-on-year, putting the province 3.7 million arrivals above its annual target with two months remaining.

In October alone, Khanh Hoa received around two million visitors, 2.3 times the figure recorded a year earlier. International arrivals exceeded 685,000, up 46.53 per cent.
Monthly tourism revenue was estimated at VND 4.34 trillion, a rise of 21.06 per cent, while average hotel occupancy stood at 49.3 per cent.
For the first 10 months, average occupancy across the province exceeded 60 per cent, with growing visitor numbers supporting accommodation, dining, transport and other tourism services.
International tourists remained a major driver of growth, with arrivals exceeding 7.8 million.
Visa exemption expected to boost Chinese arrivals
Khanh Hoa is also seeking to attract more Chinese tourists following the introduction of a visa exemption for eligible tour groups.
Under Government Resolution 325, the policy runs from October 12, 2026, to December 31, 2027, covering groups of at least two Chinese ordinary passport holders travelling on organised tours of no more than 30 days.
Tours must be arranged by Vietnamese international travel companies, with visitors flying directly from mainland China to Cam Ranh International Airport and entering and leaving Vietnam through the same airport.
Authorities expect the policy to support market expansion while encouraging tourism businesses to improve services and develop suitable travel packages.
Khanh Hoa is also advancing longer-term tourism plans, including a proposal to recognise the northern Cam Ranh Peninsula as a national tourism area and a development plan for the Ninh Chu National Tourism Area through 2045.
The province is preparing an international tourism market development strategy for 2026-2030 and a destination management model for 2027-2030.
Community-based and sustainable tourism are among its priorities. Three resorts, including Champa Island Nha Trang, The Anam and Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang, have received green tourism certification.
Digital transformation is also being promoted through the integration of tourism data into the province's intelligent operations centre and training programmes for businesses.
To sustain growth in the final months of 2026, tourism authorities have worked with 40 major local businesses to review and adjust fourth-quarter growth plans.
