Accoriding to the Lam Dong Hydro-Meteorological Station, the province is expected to see moderate to heavy rain on December 10, with daily totals ranging from 20-50 mm and some areas exceeding 80 mm.

Torrential rainfall was recorded between 3 am on December 9 and 3 am on December 10 in areas, including Lien Huong, Ham Tan, Tan Thanh, La Gi and Lac Duong communes, as well as Xuan Huong-Dalat, Tan Ha-Lam Ha, Duc Trong, Son Dien, Phu Son-Lam Ha and Truong Xuan wards. Disaster risk was classified at level 1 (medium).
Authorities warned that on December 10, communes such as D’ran, Ka Do and Quang Lap face a heightened risk of landslides. Other localities may also experience land slips, localised flooding and traffic disruption.
Offshore areas of Lam Dong, including Phu Quy Island, will see thunderstorms and strong northeasterly winds of level 6, with gusts up to level 7, causing rough seas and waves of 2-4 metres. A level-2 marine disaster warning (medium) has been issued.
The meteorological agency advised small vessels to limit departures, ensure safe anchorage and reinforce fish cages. Fishermen were urged not to remain at sea during deteriorating weather and to monitor warnings closely.
Since October, Lam Dong has experienced several episodes of flooding and severe rain, causing casualties and property damage. Recent floods have resulted in losses of more than VND 1 trillion (USD 37.95 million)
