According to Hai Duong CDC, from 3 pm on February 17 to 3 pm on February 18, Hai Duong reported 18 more cases, raising the total number of cases to 576, of which 78 people have been treated and discharged. Among 18 new cases, 14 people had had contact with a confirmed patient and were quarantined before they tested positive.

One person works at the Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Company. He had coughing and fever and went to Kinh Mon Commune Medical Station for tests. The result came back positive on February 18. It's unclear where he was infected.

Kinh Mon communal authorities are carrying out contact tracing and found 26 suspected people. The residential area where the worker lives has also been locked down.

On February 18, 350 households with 1,500 people were tested. Tu Lac Nursery School will be turned into a temporary quarantine centre.

The Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Company was immediately locked down and will be disinfected. The authorities will also test all 1,635 workers.
