Eight people including four children have been found dead in a house fire which broke out in Ho Chi Minh City's District 11 on Friday afternoon.

According to reports from local authorities, the fire occurred at a three-floor house at 47/58/2 Lac Long Quan Street in Ward 1 at around 4.30pm.
"It was difficult for firefighters to access the house which lies in a small lane," the report said. "The fire was put under control at around 7pm. By 8pm, eight bodies had been recovered from the house."
The victims include a 43-year-old man, four children aged between 9-15, and three women aged between 18-44.
Local authorities are still investing the cause of the fire.
