Under the recommendation of the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, the project, which belongs to Vietnam’s road network planning in the 2021-2030 period, will be carried out between 2021 and 2025.

National Highway 27C which links Da Lat and Nha Trang often faces landslides in the rainy season
The 85-kilometre route will be conducted in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) with half of the total investment to be sourced from the state budget.
According to the committee, the project should shorten the distance between the two cities, which will help to spur socio-economic and tourism development.
At present, Khanh Hoa's budget remains limited, so the province has proposed the Ministry of Transport to consider the state budget allocation for the project implementation.
The Ministry of Transport also agreed on adding the 113-km Buon Ma Thuot-Nha Trang expressway project into the national road network planning during the 2021-2030 phase.
