Police said on September 21 that they had coordinated with relevant authorities to expel Nikitina Iuliia, a Russian national, from Vietnam.
In late July, the People's Court of Region 2 in Khanh Hoa held a first-instance trial and found Nikitina guilty of causing public disorder. She was fined VND 30 million (USD 1,150) and permanently expelled from Vietnam.
According to the indictment, Nikitina repeatedly engaged in violations on public roads in Cam Lam Commune and Nam Cam Ranh Commune, Khanh Hoa Province, between January and June 2025.

She was found to have repeatedly knelt on the seat of a Yamaha R15 motorcycle while riding on public roads and failed to use the required protective equipment.
The dangerous acts were filmed, edited and publicly posted on social media platforms.
The videos attracted large numbers of views and shares, prompting public concern and negatively affecting perceptions of local road safety and public order, according to the authorities.
After considering aggravating and mitigating circumstances, the trial panel handed down the sentence and expulsion order against Nikitina.
