A building of Vietnam Germany Friendship Hospital in Hanoi has been locked down after a Covid-19 patient was discovered.
The case is a 49-year-old man from the central province of Ha Tinh who took care of his relative at the hospital’s Tumour Ward on Building D’s eighth floor from September 19. Earlier, the man tested negative for Covid-19 at Ha Tinh General Hospital before coming to the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital.
On September 29, he tested positive for Covid-19 at the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital. The test by the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control was also the same. Right after that, the hospital’s Building D was isolated.
Around 1,400 people at the building, including patients and relatives and medical staff, have been provided with the Covid-19 testing.
According to the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control, all people who have come to Building D's eighth floor need to contact local medical agencies for advice.
