On March 29, Phan Huy Anh, director of the Department of Health confirmed that 12 Chinese nationals had been detained at Dao Tien Motel in Tan Tien Ward the previous day.
The health sector worked with the local authorities to take samples for testing and transferred them to the quarantine centre at the local Medical College.
The authorities started searching for people related to the case and disinfect the guesthouse. The motel was temporarily locked down during the tests. The first test results came back negative.
