
The programme was conducted on July 18-19 in Bac Quang and Vi Xuyen districts. This is among activities of the newspapers to honour war veterans, war invalids and martyrs’ families on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).


Doctor Pham Quoc Tuan, Duc Giang General Hospital’s Head of Quality Management Department, said that people received blood pressure measurements, heart, lung, ear, nose and throat examinations and screenings for internal medicine.

After being given examinations, people were provided with prescriptions and guidance on healthy living and medication use.

The Long Chau Pharmacy chain and donors provided 200 medication and vitamin for the programme.


Ma Thi Hoi, 90, lost a son fighting in Cambodia in 1980. She is blind in one eye and was assisted to come for the examination by her daughter. Hoi was very happy to be offered the free medical check-up.
