The first full rehearsal for parade units was held this morning, July 17, to prepare for the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945-September 2, 2025).

The event drew the participation of 15,000 soldiers, along with military units featuring tanks, electronic warfare vehicles, and missiles.

The rehearsal featured T-62 and T-90S tank units, which are among Vietnam's most advanced armoured vehicles.

Vietnamese-made armoured vehicles approached the grandstand.

Self-propelled artillery units such as the SU-122, SU-152, and BM-21 rolled past the grandstand.

Amphibious vehicles of the mobile police force

The celebration, military parade and march for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will start at 6.30 am on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and proceed through several central streets in Hanoi.

As many as 30,000 people are expected to participate in the event, excluding the parade and marching forces.
