The park said on the morning of October 23 that the release involved five northern pig-tailed macaques (Macaca leonina), 13 rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta), three stump-tailed macaques (Macaca arctoides) and one clouded monitor (Varanus nebulosus).
These wild animals are valuable to biodiversity and are considered species that require priority protection.

Returning them to their natural habitat will help restore wild populations, maintain ecological balance and strengthen biodiversity conservation efforts at Vu Quang National Park.
