Van Thi Huu Tam, deputy director of HURC1, said that after nearly seven months of operation, Metro Line 1 had served over 10.1 million passengers.

To date, the company has granted free monthly tickets to 637 disadvantaged workers for Metro Line 1. The programme will soon be expanded to disadvantaged students who regularly commute by metro.

Grassroots unions compiled the list of disadvantaged workers who are regular metro users.

The programme will run until December 2025, aiming to improve access to modern public transport for vulnerable groups.
