A corner of Yours Coffee shop
Located in a peaceful mountain street of Kon Tum, Yours Coffee is known for its massive book wall containing more than 7,500 volumes. The cafe’s owner, Huynh Thi Thu Ha, said she was inspired by large book-themed cafes in Ho Chi Minh City and wanted to recreate that atmosphere in her hometown.
“Those cafes with tall, beautiful bookshelves bring such a relaxing and inspiring vibe. I thought, "Why not bring that to my hometown so young people here can have a place to unwind?” Ha said.
Over several years, she collected books to build her own literary haven. More than half were purchased from second-hand bookstores, while others were family hand-me-downs or books she had collected since childhood. “Books are like companions to me,” she said, explaining that she carefully selects each title for both its content and display value.
Building the multi-level bookshelf took months of effort, from design and construction to sorting and arranging each title. To ensure durability, Ha invested heavily in materials and designed the shelves to withstand weather and time. The storage area has a special roof and ventilation system to prevent moisture, while books are regularly cleaned to avoid mould and termites.

The cafe has attracted many young visitors.
The finished shelves quickly became the cafe’s main attraction. Many first-time visitors were amazed to find such an impressive book space in a rural town. “There are such heartwarming moments, like kids sitting quietly reading comics for hours or older guests revisiting old books that remind them of the past. That’s when I know my effort was worth it,” Ha shared.

While most customers read on-site, Ha allows passionate readers to borrow books, provided they treat them with care. The cafe offers a calm reading area, a small play corner for children, and a wide selection of drinks, from coffee and smoothies to fruit teas, priced between VND 18,000 and VND 40,000 (approximately USD 0.70-1.60).
Visitors say they are impressed by the spacious, thoughtfully decorated setting, which welcomes families and readers of all ages. Among the most popular drinks is the refreshing pomegranate juice, praised for its sweet-and-sour balance.

In the future, Ha plans to expand the collection with English-language books, self-help titles, and children’s literature. Her ultimate goal, she said, is to turn the cafe’s towering shelves into a place of inspiration where people, especially the younger generation, can rediscover the joy of reading.
