Booking.com data showed 57 per cent of Vietnamese travellers planned a beach holiday, while 46 per cent were interested in mountain and nature trips. Beach and island destinations accounted for six of Agoda's 10 most-searched domestic destinations and seven of Booking.com's top 10.

Danang topped domestic destination searches on both platforms. Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Hue, Quy Nhon, Phan Thiet, Hoi An and Halong Bay also drew strong interest.
Dalat ranked highest among highland destinations on both platforms, attracting travellers with its mild climate and natural scenery. Its appeal has also been boosted by the reopening of Lien Khuong International Airport on August 19.
Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi remained popular, offering food, shopping, entertainment and cultural experiences as well as convenient options for travellers seeking holidays closer to home.
The platforms said Vietnamese travellers were increasingly favouring personalised trips and experiences tailored to their own and their families' needs, with beaches, islands and nature among the strongest trends.
