The two baby pangolins

Baby pangolins are carefully nurtured with special nutritional regimes and closely monitored to ensure healthy development.

The centre will consider releasing the four pangolins into the wild when they are in sufficiently good health.

The Javan pangolin is listed among endangered and rare species and is facing the threat of extinction. They are usually hunted for their shells and meat.

The gestation period for pangolins from conception to birth, is roughly 150-160 days.
