“Projects like this play an essential role in our efforts to reduce poverty,” he said. “On behalf of the local people, I would like to express sincere thanks to Dantri and its supporters. We hope this cooperation will continue and bring more life-changing opportunities to the people in remote areas.”
Among the beneficiaries is Be Ich Thuan, 61, whose dilapidated wooden house, built before 1930, shelters six members of his three-generation family. Despite its severe deterioration, the family has been unable to rebuild due to financial hardship.

“I was overwhelmed with emotion when I found out we would receive support to build a new home,” Thuan told Dantri. “Thank you to Dantri and the local leaders for your care and help. This is truly a great gift for my family.”
During the event, Dantri also presented ten cash gifts worth VND 500,000 (approximately USD 20) each to ten low-income households in Hoa An District, along with five electric kettles for the families receiving new homes.
Also on the afternoon of June 28, Dantri, in partnership with the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, organised a free health screening and hepatitis B and C consultation programme for nearly 200 children in the local area.

The event was part of a series of Dantri activities in Cao Bang on the same day, including the groundbreaking of 13 houses for disadvantaged families in Ha Quang and Hoa An districts, gift-giving, medical check-ups and health consultations for 200 war veterans and policy beneficiary families.
