Dantri newspaper, in coordination with local authorities in Quang Tri Province, presented VND 522,689,215 (approximately USD 20,000) donated by readers and charitable supporters to the family of four orphaned siblings.

The children, Cao Dinh Thanh San, born in 2015, Dinh Nam Duong, born in 2019, Dinh Quang Vu, born in 2022, and Dinh Hai Bang, born in 2024, live in Yen Hop Village, Kim Phu Commune.
Their lives were turned upside down in early May 2026 when their 31-year-old mother died suddenly at home. Two days later, their father was found dead in a nearby forest, leaving the four children without parents.
Since then, the siblings have been cared for by their grandmother, Cao Thi Su, 55.

After Dantri/Dtinews published the family's story, readers and benefactors donated VND 522,689,215 (approximately USD 20,000) to support the children.
The full amount was handed over to the family by Dantri and the authorities of Kim Phu Commune. Following discussions with local officials, the children's grandmother agreed that the money would be placed into four separate savings accounts, one for each child, to safeguard their future.
Representing the family, the children's aunt, Cao Thi Hai, expressed her gratitude to Dantri, its readers, charitable donors and local authorities for their support.
She said the family would work closely with Kim Phu Commune authorities to establish the savings accounts and ensure the funds are used solely for the children's long term care and education.
"We sincerely thank everyone who has shown kindness to my nieces and nephews. This substantial financial support will ease their hardships and give them a much brighter future," Hai said.
Hoang Thanh Binh, vice chairman of the Kim Phu Commune People's Committee, said the generosity of donors had given the children renewed hope.
"This support will not only provide the children with long term financial security through the savings accounts, but also strengthen the local authorities' ability to accompany and care for them in the years ahead," Binh said.
He added that, in addition to establishing the savings accounts, the commune will continue monitoring the children's daily lives and develop long term support plans to ensure they receive proper care, education and living conditions.
