The money was transferred to the account of her father, Vo Van Du, from Danang City. The family also received about VND 276 million directly from donors nationwide, bringing total support to nearly VND 570 million.

Nhi, who was suffering from end-stage liver disease, underwent a successful transplant on July 9, with her father serving as the donor.
Du has regained consciousness and begun walking, while Nhi remains under observation in intensive care with stable health indicators.
The girl was featured in a Dantri article published on June 22 after doctors said she urgently needed a liver transplant costing more than VND 1 billion, far beyond her family’s means.

Nhi was diagnosed with congenital biliary atresia when she was less than two months old. A Kasai procedure performed at Children’s Hospital No. 2 in Ho Chi Minh City later failed, and her condition progressed to severe liver fibrosis.
Her father was approved as a donor in May, but an earlier transplant attempt was halted after he developed cardiovascular complications under anaesthesia. Her mother was unable to donate because of fatty liver disease.
The family later sought treatment at the University Medical Centre Ho Chi Minh City, where doctors said the transplant remained possible but would cost more than VND 1 billion.
Du said the family had feared Nhi would lose her chance of survival because they could not raise enough money.
He thanked Dantri/Dtinews readers and donors for helping fund the operation and giving his daughter a chance to live.
