In Ha Tinh Province, the programme will run on July 17-18. Organisers will work with local authorities to provide free health checks, medicines and gifts to 500 former Youth Volunteers at two locations, Thach Ha Commune and Ky Anh Commune. Dantri will also hand over five newly built houses to former Youth Volunteers in the province.

Le Van Liem, chairman of the Ha Tinh Province Association of Former Youth Volunteers, welcomed the initiative, saying the gifts carried significant emotional value despite their modest material worth.

According to official figures, Ha Tinh Province is home to more than 7,000 former Youth Volunteers who served during the wars against France and the United States. The youngest members of the group are now over 70 years old.

Liem said the programme would provide practical support and encouragement, helping participants improve their health and wellbeing while reinforcing the community's appreciation for their contributions.
