According to information released by Hanoi's Department of Finance, Sun Property Group Joint Stock Company, a member of Sun Group, has proposed being selected to develop the Ba Vi Eco-Tourism Complex project, which includes a semi-wildlife safari park.
The project is planned on an area of nearly 581 hectares, including approximately 42.64 hectares of water surface.

The proposed investment totals VND 10 trillion (USD 385 million), comprising VND 1.5 trillion (USD 57.7 million) in investor equity and VND 8.5 trillion (USD 327.3 million) from mobilised capital sources.
Under the proposal, around 446 hectares, equivalent to nearly 77 per cent of the total area, would be allocated to green spaces and water features. This area would include themed parks, landscaped greenery, water bodies and buffer green zones.
In addition, about 43.88 hectares would be used for tourism services, nearly 30.91 hectares for commercial and service activities, and around 8.34 hectares for research, training, recreation, education and wildlife experience programmes.
Transport infrastructure would occupy more than 49.39 hectares, while technical infrastructure would cover approximately 1.31 hectares.
The project would have a maximum construction footprint of more than 728,000 square metres and a total floor area of approximately 1.03 million square metres. The overall building density is proposed at around 13 per cent, with structures ranging from one to five storeys depending on their function.
The development is planned in two phases.
The first phase, covering approximately 251 hectares, is scheduled to be implemented between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the fourth quarter of 2028. Upon completion, it is expected to accommodate around five million visitors annually.
The second phase, spanning nearly 330 hectares, is expected to be developed from the fourth quarter of 2027 to the first quarter of 2030.
The entire project is targeted for completion and operation in the first quarter of 2030, with a projected capacity of approximately 10 million visitors per year.
Semi-wildlife safari models have already been developed at several tourism destinations across Vietnam.
In Phu Quoc, Vinpearl Safari covers approximately 380 hectares and is home to more than 4,000 animals from around 200 species. It is among the largest semi-wildlife conservation parks in the country.
In central Vietnam, VinWonders Nam Hoi An operates River Safari, a semi-wildlife conservation area explored by boat, housing more than 550 animals from around 50 species.
Another example is FLC Zoo Safari Park Quy Nhon, which cares for nearly 1,000 animals representing about 40 species.
