On June 22, representatives of Dantri/Dtinews and officials from Cu Bao Ward in Dak Lak Province visited the home of Nguyen Uyen Tram Oanh, 33, in Binh Thanh 4 Residential Area to offer support and present a symbolic cheque worth VND 128.3 million (approximately USD 4,900).

Oanh has been struggling to support her family while coping with illness. As a single mother, she is raising two sons aged 11 and eight, both of whom have intellectual disabilities, speech difficulties and require daily care.

Following the publication of her story on Dantri, readers and benefactors from across the country contributed donations to support the family.
Receiving the assistance, Oanh became emotional as she expressed gratitude to those who had shown compassion and shared her family's burden.
She said that during the most difficult periods of her life, when illness and financial hardship left her feeling overwhelmed, the support from the community had given her renewed hope and motivation to keep moving forward.
"I am deeply grateful to everyone who has cared about and helped my family. This is not only financial support but also a tremendous source of encouragement that gives me the strength to overcome the challenges ahead," she said.
Oanh said she plans to use part of the money to repair her leaking home and support the education of her two sons, who attend a specialised school.
Y Cing Mlo, chairman of the Cu Bao Ward People's Committee, thanked Dantri/Dtinews and its readers for repeatedly supporting disadvantaged families in the area.

"The support provided by Dantri/Dtinews during the most difficult moments in many families' lives is truly meaningful and greatly appreciated. I hope the newspaper will continue spreading these practical and compassionate initiatives to help improve the lives of disadvantaged people," he said.
Y Cing Mlo also encouraged Oanh's family to use the funds for essential purposes, particularly healthcare, stabilising their living conditions and creating better opportunities for the children. He called on local agencies, organisations and community groups to continue supporting the family as they work towards a more stable future.
