The incident happened at the level crossing on the Lao Cai-Hanoi railway line in Village 2, Tran Yen District’s Thanh Thinh Commune at 3.15 pm on March 27.

The passenger train was running from Lao Cai to Hanoi when it hit the tractor driven by a 48-year-old man from Thanh Thinh Commune. The crash threw the man and the tractor off the railway line.
Despite being rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, the man died from serious injuries.
