Out of the total flights operated, 7,991 or 32.30 percent experienced delays, up from the 19.30 percent of January. VietJet Air had the highest proportion of delays at 45.60 percent. It was followed by Pacific Airlines at 41 percent, Bamboo Airways at 31.50 percent, Vietravel Airlines at 23.60 percent, Vietnam Airlines also at 20.50 percent, and VASCO at 10.90 percent.
The increase in delays was largely attributed to the Lunar New Year travel peak.
This was compounded by foggy conditions and unfavourable weather in the northern region, leading to numerous flight delays. Additionally, forty-three flights were cancelled in February due to technical and weather issues.
