At the site, authorities also found a range of items associated with soldiers’ daily life and wartime activity, including ponchos, hammocks, parachute fabric, AK ammunition belts, buttons, rubber sandal soles, communication wires, toothbrushes, medicine bottles, military insignia and metal bowls.

Earlier, on April 10, the team had recovered 12 sets of remains from the same cave system. Since the beginning of April, a total of 18 sets of martyrs’ remains have been found in the Chu Pa Mountain area.

Sang said that changes in terrain over time and limited information have made the search effort increasingly difficult. Despite this, officers and soldiers have continued to carefully examine every tree root and rock crevice in deep caves, determined not to miss any trace and to bring the fallen home.
