Heavy rain hit the north-western area of Danang City on the evening of September 14, flooding several low-lying roads in Lien Chieu and Hoa Khanh wards.

On Au Co Street in Lien Chieu Ward, water rushing down from the hills left several sections under nearly 0.5 metres of water. Water from alleyways poured into the road, forming strong currents that made travel difficult, with some vehicles stalling.
The downpour, which lasted about 30 minutes, also caused localised flooding on Road 4 in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, as well as Nam Cao and Pham Nhu Xuong streets.

Ho Giap, a resident of Lien Chieu Ward, said he was caught in the heavy rain while picking up his child. He tried to cross a flooded stretch of road but had to stop because the current was too strong. He waited for about 30 minutes on higher ground before the rain eased and the water receded, allowing him to continue home.

Earlier, from September 12 to 13, Danang recorded widespread rainfall of 50-150mm, while coastal plain areas and south-western mountainous areas saw 150-300mm. Some places recorded higher totals, including Cau Lau with 362.6mm.
On September 14, rainfall in Danang City eased, with only scattered and localised showers remaining.
