On April 16, the force received an emergency request from the LNG vessel Port Harcourt II, registered in Bermuda, while it was en route from Taiwan to Singapore.
According to the report, a 53 year old South Korean supervisor on board had fallen, suffering a head injury along with symptoms of dizziness and nausea. He required immediate evacuation to shore for treatment.

Upon receiving the alert, border guards coordinated with Vung Tau Maritime Transport Services Joint Stock Company to dispatch the vessel VUNGTAU 2018 to retrieve the injured crew member.
At around 4.15 pm the same day, VUNGTAU 2018 docked at Cau Da Port in Vung Tau Ward, HCM City, handing over the injured man and another accompanying South Korean crew member to border guard authorities.
Following the transfer, officers completed immigration procedures for both individuals and handed the patient over to maritime authorities for transport to hospital for emergency care and treatment.
