Lam Dong to spend VND 48 bln to protect Xuan Huong Lake

Authorities in Lam Dong Province have approved a VND 48 billion (USD 1.83 million) project to dredge a sedimentation pond to curb pollution and protect Xuan Huong Lake in Dalat.

The project, led by the Dalat construction investment project management board, will focus on Pond No. 2, one of three basins that collect and filter upstream water and waste before it enters the lake.

Works will include dredging a roughly 1-hectare basin, building embankments, and constructing a 400-metre lakeside road, along with drainage systems, railings and lighting.

The project is scheduled for implementation from 2026 to 2028.
