Sang congratulated the business community's significant contribution to the national development in recent years. Despite challenges, Vietnamese small and medium-sized businesses have managed to maintain positive growth, establish strong brands and products as well as create many jobs.

He urged the association to step up efforts to help Vietnamese enterprises look for new markets for their products and services, improve human resources and training capacity.

The association must also focus in trade facilitation activities, providing businesses with support to evolve and adapt in a modern market economy and in understanding administrative procedures in order to facilitate the process of integration with the global economy.

The President expressed his hope that in the future, the Vietnamese small and medium-sized business community would continue to grow, both in quantity and quality.

He said the association and Government ministries and agencies must step up co-operation efforts to provide Vietnamese enterprises with ample support to develop strong Vietnamese brands and products as well as the country's supporting industry.
