Orphaned little boy in desperate need of support

A two-year-old boy in the northern province of Ha Nam is in desperate need of help after his mother died. He is currently being looked after by his poor and ailing maternal grandparents.

A two-year-old boy in the northern province of Ha Nam is in desperate need of help after his mother died. He is currently being looked after by his poor and ailing maternal grandparents.

The little boy Nguyen Van Trong did not have a recognised father. Her mother faced a mental problem and she was pregnant after being raped by a man.

She died several months ago after a tree fell down onto her.

Since then, the boy has lived with his maternal grandparents at the age of 80 who are very poor. His grandfather also has some mental problems, so, most of the family’s work depends on his grandmother.

The three of them now lives on modest social security payments.

Chu Van Loan, head of Luu Village, said that over the last three months, Trong’s mother and his aunt died, leaving the child’s grandparents shocked. He hoped that donors will assist the poor boy.
