The service, operated with Airbus A321 aircraft, is scheduled to run until October 24, 2026. Flights operate three times every two weeks on a rotating schedule, with VJ5325 flying from Kunming to Nha Trang and VJ5324 on the return leg.

The airport said the route was restored to meet rising travel demand during the 2026 summer holiday season.

Alongside Nha Trang, the airport has also increased direct flights to several Southeast Asian destinations, including Phuket, Chiang Mai, Vientiane and Kuala Lumpur.

Since the start of 2026, Kunming Changshui International Airport has launched new passenger routes to Luang Prabang, Jakarta and Phu Quoc, and cargo services to Colombo, Karachi and Istanbul, expanding its regional air network

The resumption of the Kunming-Nha Trang route is expected to support growing travel demand and strengthen tourism, trade and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and China.
