Four Vietnamese people who recently returned from the UAE have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, raising the total number of Covid-19 patients in the country to 1,385, the Ministry of Health reported on Thursday evening.

According to the ministry's report, the four women aged 35-54 landed at Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa Province on December 8.
They were sent to a quarantine area in Phu Yen Province upon arrival and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on December 9.
The four patients are now being treated at the Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital.
With these new infection cases, the number of imported Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to 691.
As of 6 pm on December 10, a total of 1,225 Covid-19 patients had recovered and been discharged from hospital. There have been 35 deaths, most of them being the elderly with serious underlying diseases.
At present, over 20,743 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or returned from virus-hit areas are being monitored at hospitals, quarantine facilities, and at home.
